Maintenance Technician

HYDAC a leading manufacturer in the fluid power industry is seeking to fill a Maintenance Technician positions for our Glendale Heights, IL location. It is the primary responsibility of the Maintenance Technician to support facilities maintenance and provide technical assistance to the entire manufacturing operation.   The Maintenance Technician is expected to perform both preventative and reactive maintenance and repair of all equipment including the maintenance needs of our 4 facilities in Glendale Heights, IL. The candidate would be responsible for performing the following duties:

Tasks:

• Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on equipment and plans for and takes corrective action.  Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
• Must have general maintenance knowledge of CNC Milling machines.
• Knowledge in electrical and mechanical machine repairs.
• Ability to effectively repair and maintain physical structure and operation of machinery.
• Ability to inspect and test machinery efficiently.
• Maintenance Technician: Light electrical work and minor forklift maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot AC and DC drives and servos, relays, cabinet, sensor, switches, etc.
• Repair and maintenance of a wide variety of automated, semi-automated, and manual production equipment.
• Support process improvement, quality improvement, and safety efforts.
• Work with the Production, Engineering, and R&D on product/process development.
• Update and maintain any existing Maintenance software, write routine reports, SAP, Excel
• Troubleshoot and repair all production equipment malfunctions and recommend changes to increase equipment reliability.

Skills and Attributes:

• High School or GED diploma required.
• 2 years experience basic PC/Windows operation required.
• Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.
• Maintenance software experience preferred.
• Preferred basic mathematics and algebra required. College level algebra, trigonometry, and/or geometry preferred.
• Industrial electricity, programmable logic controllers, pneumatics, hydraulics, ultrasonic welding, machine tool.
• Must have excellent reason and decision making skills.
• Must be able to understand written and verbal instruction in English.
