The Power Platform Architect and Engineer will serve as the technical and functional subject matter expert for the Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automation.  You will identify new areas and business processes where O365 power platform can be leveraged and facilitate continual process improvement; Standardize and optimize the ways data is stored and retrieved; Create and maintain documentation for the environment and solutions; Provide daily production system support and user support and cultivate the Power Platform user community; Develop and deliver user training; Provide knowledge transfer to internal team members; Develop and maintain a cohesive Power Platform environment and life cycle management strategy. You will also serve as a champion for the Power Platform, helping the business community to understand the value of Power Apps and understanding how they can utilize no-code or low code solutions as a part of their own daily activities; developing a user community that is able to build their own basic solutions.

You will make an impact in this role by:

  • Champion the use of the Power Platform by conducting regular workshops and webinars for the business community
  • Administer and monitor the Power Platform environment to ensure its continued compliance with the environment and lifecycle management strategy.
  • Define and implement processes for Application Lifecycle management
  • Implement a best practices driven strategy for requirements gathering, documentation, testing, and training
  • Ensure a cohesive security strategy is taken into consideration in the development and deployment of Power Apps
  • Review and provide feedback / recommendations for Power Platform development conducted by business users

Key skills and attributes include:

  • Build solutions in the Power Platform ecosystem including primarily solutions including PowerApps (canvas and model-driven) and Power Automate.
  • Analyze and refine business requirements, promoting a consistent technical approach to common problems like request/approval workflows.
  • Assist in developing net-new automation to support fast-paced business needs. Must be able to take detailed direction in implementation of business solutions, as well as independently design and propose solutions.
  • Assess and maintain the health of all first- and third-party integrations across enterprise business systems.
  • Business system account and security administration including the application and design of access policies in accordance with existing enterprise security and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in requirements gathering meetings and solution design discussions.
  • Develop documentation for implemented solutions
  • Solve complex problems with scalable solutions.
  • Strong desire to take on new challenges and learn new technologies.
  • Work with other application teams to integrate with client’s systems/processes. Usually, this will involve getting / sending data using SQL, SAP idocs, web services, SAP BAPIs, etc.
  • Up to 20% travel

To be considered for the Power Platform Architect and Engineer role, you must have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
  • 3-5 years of low/no-code PowerPlatform development required.
  • Understanding Microsoft Cloud collaboration platforms including Azure, Power Platform, and Office.
  • Managing cloud infrastructure and responding to support requests regarding resource management, modern authentication protocols, Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
  • Understanding of REST APIs, PowerShell, HTML, XML, Node.JS, SQL, and Azure Functions.
  • Demonstrating experience with data extraction, data modeling and reporting technologies in a Microsoft cloud landscape.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of Systems and Process Analysis techniques such as Process Diagrams, Use Case Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, Enterprise Relational Diagrams, and Normalization.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of application development methodologies and programming languages, administering, infrastructure operations, service management principles.
  • Demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to establish platform architecture in line with HYDAC’s enterprise architecture vision and aligned to application technology roadmaps.
  • Understanding and mitigating the impact of a technical design to security, performance and data privacy.
  • Communicating effectively at different levels within and outside the organization, leadership/management, business stakeholders, software vendors and sourcing suppliers.
  • Providing thought leadership on use of specific application technology for innovation and/or cost reduction.
  • Experience administering PowerPlatform Environments, ALM strategies, and security roles.
  • Experience Configuring and implementing PowerApps and Power Automate (Flow) required.
  • Experience developing PowerApps canvas apps required.
  • Experience developing PowerApps in Solutions and implementing them across multiple environments.
  • Experience developing in MS PowerApps Portal with SQL Database (Dataverse) required.
  • Experience creating views in Dataverse required.
