Production Planner

HYDAC designs and manufactures a comprehensive line of innovative, reliable hydraulic, electronic, control and fluid conditioning solutions optimized for mobile and industrial markets. At our Denver North Carolina facility, we are seeking a qualified Production Planner. This role will work with manufacturing to develop schedules for the production of selected products or product lines.

• Develop a level loaded schedule for completing the production components to meet customer requirements on-time.
• Consideration is given to resource availability including people, equipment, and materials in an effort to control labor cost, including over time and on time delivery.
• Work with Customer Service to forecast future production requirements in order to increase or decrease production levels accordingly.
• Monitor the work in progress to determine on-time shipments to customers.
• Prepare reports to Production Management, Customer Service, QA and Product Management identifying scheduling concerns and constraints a minimum 2 weeks prior to order due date.
• In some locations the Production Planner is responsible for subcontract services, monitoring tooling demand and ordering raw material for work orders.
• Must be organized and able to prioritize based on defined variables.
• Strong people skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel and Word and SAP.
• Knowledge of machines, tools, and technology in manufacturing is required.
• 5-7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required. Experience as a Planner or Scheduler preferred.

Education:

• GED or High School Diploma is required.
