Production Supervisor, 2nd Shift

The Production Supervisor, 2nd Shift is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of their assigned production department personnel, and perform the duties listed below.

You will make an impact in this role by:

• Supervising and coordinating activities of hourly workforce either directly or using Team Leaders.
• Reviewing and verifying all work instructions.
• Interpreting policies and procedures to employees and enforce safety and work rules.
• Interfacing with others in the organization to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Developing, recommending, and implementing measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
• Maintaining accurate production related records.
• Communicating production goals to employees and establish and communicate priorities.
• Using hourly boards and communicating to employee’s importance of them.
• Ensuring finished products meet accepted quality standards.
• Communicating, administering, and ensuring compliance to company policies for safety, environmental issues, attendance policies, etc. and take appropriate actions for violations.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

• Being visible and accessible to employees.
• Identifying and communicating critical issues to management.
• Minimizing downtime related to part changes and process set-up.
• Responding swiftly to issues or concerns raised by production team or leadership.
• Ensuring parts and supplies are available to perform job duties.
• Demonstrating good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills to communicate with internal and external contact.
• Creating and updating work instructions / procedures.
• Performing Layered Process Audits (LPA).

Requirements

To be considered for the 2nd Shift Production Supervisor role, you must have the following minimum qualifications:

• 3-5 Years’ experience in a Manufacturing Supervisory Role.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing including 5S, Kaizen and Lean Practices.

Preferred skills include:

• Experience in an ISO certified company is a plus.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Machinist experience is a plus.
