HYDAC is seeking a Sales Manager to professionally lead a team in promoting the full breadth of HYDAC Technology Corporation’s product line to the OEM/ Distributor marketplace in the Midwest Region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, attaining, and retaining profitable sales for HYDAC.  The Sales Manager will manage, monitor, and mentor a team of Key Account Managers and Application Engineers in the designated territory.  The Sales manager may also fill the role of Regional Distribution Manger for assigned distributors.  The Sales manger will now also be responsible for the following tasks:

Tasks:

  • Participate in the development of the regional sales strategy with the RVP’s. Develop and implement the corresponding strategy and tactics for their territory based on the National and Regional sales strategies and initiatives coordinate with Key Account Managers, Product Divisions and Application Engineers
  • Responsible for set sales goals, including new business targets and objectives for the territory and report on progress
  • Work with sales team to identify their Target and Key accounts and review their respective sales plans
  • Work with RVP and VP of Channel to manager channel conflict and recommend specific channel to market for specific accounts (distribution, direct, etc.)
  • Ensure that our Application Engineering team is being used effectively by sales team
  • Review lost opportunities to provide feedback to manage for pricing, product, service/support, and sales strategy
  • Forecast sales for designated territory
  • Coordinate resources at HYDAC to respond to customer demands, be the customer advocate within the business
  • Implement and enforce sales and company policies
  • Effectively communicate market trends, competitive updates, voice of customer and product feedback to Product Divisions and General Management
  • Ensure CRM data is accurate and current for team
  • Develop goals and objectives for individuals in their sales team along with measuring performance to those goals and providing feedback and development actions accordingly.
  • Train, mentor, develop individuals in their sales team including development plans, talent reviews and succession planning.
  • Effectively communicate market trends, competitive updates, voice of customer and product feedback to Product Divisions and General Management
  • Provide feedback a direction to Product Divisions, Custom Service, Marketing, General Management, etc. on how to improve the customer experience

  • Ability to use the Internet, Project Management software, spreadsheets, and word processing software
  • Ability to work independently to set daily priorities and workload

 

 

Education, Experience, and Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years selling engineering products to the industrial marketplace.
  • A minimum of 5 years in management required.
